TANK GIRL, I think that’s really cool if people see her as an empowering female figure. I kinda do too, really. But if she were considered a WORLDWIDE feminist figure, I wouldn’t be okay with that. I’m not saying that feminism is bad or anything, but the feminists I’ve met in my lifetime have been the obnoxious, man-hating, hypocritical types and I don’t want to associate Tankie with them.

Wow, you must not have met many feminists then because feminists just want equality and it is just a myth that they are man-hating. This is usually promoted by white mass media. I mean do you even know any women considered worldwide feminist icons? Because they aren’t man-hating, obnoxious, or hypocritical. I would recommend you read some books or articles by an amazing author named Jessica Valenti. She is awesome and really sheds some light on these issues.
